Invicta Dynamos eye victories this weekend in cup face offs

Invicta Dynamos head coach Kevin Parrish is looking for his team to break their cup slump.

The Gillingham team will face the London Raiders tomorrow at the Lee Valley Ice Centre in what is expected to be a fiery face off. They will also face Peterborough Phantoms at home on Sunday.

The Dynamos have lost 7-6 against Bracknell Bees last Sunday and 2-5 against Streatham the day before. Both losses put the side on a downer on their campaign for the NIHL cup, which is still in the group stage.

“We didn’t really come out the blocks, and then Sunday, odds were against us we ended up with a draw and losing in overtime,” Said Kevin Parrish.

“So, good bounce back from the boys and hopefully we can pull it into this weekend.

“Whatever competition we’re in, we’re in it to play our full potential but for some reason this cup competition’s been letting us down a little bit. We just haven’t turned up for the cup and it’s as simple as that. We’re still in for a chance of getting through to the next round in it but we just need to put our heads together.”

The group C team will be hope to place in the top two in order to progress to the NIHL Cup quarter-finals. They are also currently sixth in the NIHL South Division 1.
