UPDATED: Four arrested after alleged rape in Canterbury’s Hales Place

Detectives arrested four people this morning in connection with an alleged rape in Downs Road, Canterbury, in the early hours of Sunday morning.

An 18-year-old man from Canterbury, a 19-year-old man of no fixed address, a 17-year-old boy of no fixed address and a 17-year-old boy from Dover were arrested and are currently in police custody.

Police believe that the alleged female victim had been in the area of Canterbury’s station road before travelling by car to Downs Road, in Canterbury’s Hales Place.

Houses in Canterbury’s Downs Road taped off by police

The alleged victim and suspects are not believed to be known to each other.

Police cordoned off several houses in Downs Road this morning, covering around 40 metres just before the road becomes Tenterden Drive.
