There\u2019s been a growing concern and an increase in spiking in Kent, with a new form of injecting girls in clubs. Due to the lack of urgency from clubs and local authorities, Canterbury Labour Party have organised a \u201cReclaim these Streets\u201d March on November 4th.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A recent spiking incident involving two young girls allegedly took place in Club Chemistry on Wednesday night.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The police have been notified and are currently investigating.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Club Chemistry have been under fire for their negligence in relation to the situation and their lack of responsibility following a statement released on their official social media page. A Club Chemistry spokesman said: &#8220;This week an allegation has been made against the venue implying we were negligent in our care for an individual. This claim is false.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&#8220;Following this a number of people without evidence have attacked the business or its human beings online. These people will not be welcome back.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&#8220;Drink spiking is a terrible thing that needs to stop.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&#8220;It doesn&#8217;t stop by attacking venues, it stops by people not putting things in other people\u2019s drinks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&#8220;If you are thinking of putting something in someone else&#8217;s drink, don&#8217;t.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Rihan Shillabeer, a youth officer for the Canterbury Labour party tells us: \u201cThis year particularly for women, it\u2019s been quite a volatile year from the death of Sarah Everard to then Sabina Nessa.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cIt\u2019s led to this overspill of anger and finally women are in the mainstream media talking about assault that affects us &#8211; it\u2019s always been so surface level until now.
