{"id":704,"date":"2022-02-11T12:00:00","date_gmt":"2022-02-11T12:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/centreforjournalismprojects.co.uk\/kentconnect\/?p=704"},"modified":"2022-02-11T11:50:00","modified_gmt":"2022-02-11T11:50:00","slug":"young-kent-students-making-a-name-in-business-the-sky-is-the-limit","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/centreforjournalismprojects.co.uk\/kentconnect\/2022\/02\/11\/young-kent-students-making-a-name-in-business-the-sky-is-the-limit\/","title":{"rendered":"Young Kent students making a name in business \u201cthe sky is the limit\u201d"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Whilst University on its own has proven to be difficult, two students at the University of Kent have made it their mission to seek more for themselves outside the degree.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Michael Eze and Danielle Taylor are both law students who found themselves swaying to the business aspect of life.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Michael had always had the spirit of entrepreneurship as, prior to starting his clothing line, he was a freelance graphic designer. His clothing line \u2018P4P\u2019 or &#8216;Passion for Pain&#8217; was born whilst creating logo\u2019s for a client.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He said: \u201c I decided to create something, which I thought represented me for once, my friends thought it was nice and I went with it.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Michael&#8217;s ethos behind P4P highlights beauty within struggle.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He added: \u201cPain is an essential element to success, growth and general character building. They say even at the gym there is no pain without gain or even in relationships, it hurts to love.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Michael hopes to get to a point where he can focus on his Clothing line full time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&nbsp;\u201cI feel like if I continue doing what I\u2019m doing, I could see myself in JD.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThe Sky is the limit.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Taylor\u2019s business was also not created with huge intention, she had initially wanted to get rid of some old items she had, and began selling on <em>Depop<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;I started in my second year of university; it was never meant to be business.\u201d, Taylor said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>After soon realising there was a great demand for certain products, she began to collect \u2018rare or hyped\u2019 stock and sell it on social media.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Since 2020, Danielle\u2019s business &#8216;UK Plug Walk&#8217; has been recognised amongst Hype beasts and collectors as a reputable place to shop.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>She added: \u201c My Snapchat grew from 500 subscribers to 11,000!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Both Michael and Danielle, being Kent Law students, describe their routines as hectic.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Eze said: \u201c I often at times find myself neglecting my University work, I try to get my Uni work done earlier, so I have more time to focus on my business, throughout the day.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Danielle Taylor said: \u201cThe free time I do have I spend time selling clothes, shoes and going to meet customers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cMaybe after I finish University, which is this year, I\u2019ll be more flexible.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Both students believe the future remains bright if they continue to work hard.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-audio\"><audio controls src=\"http:\/\/centreforjournalismprojects.co.uk\/kentconnect\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/02\/BUSINESS-.mp3\"><\/audio><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Whilst University on its own has proven to be difficult, two students at the University of Kent have made it their mission to seek more for themselves outside the degree.
