Kim reignites Kanye & Taylor’s Bad Blood

In a not so shocking twist, reality star Kim Kardashian has stirred the pot in the ongoing feud between her husband, Kanye West, and Taylor Swift. The 35 year old Kardashian divulged some information in her interview with GQ magazine which came out this week, celebrating its 10 year anniversary, where she brought to light new claims on the issue. The hostility between West and Swift has been apparent ever since that infamous scene between the two at the 2009 MTV Video Music Awards where he interrupted Taylor’s acceptance speech to praise Beyonce on having “one of the best videos of all time”. This resulted in uproar over Kanye’s rudeness, but instantly became an internet sensation.

Later, during the release of Kanye’s new album The Life Of Pablo, one of his lyrics singling out Taylor, as he does with multiple celebrities, was scrutinised. In his song “Famous”, the singer raps that he can have sex with Taylor because he “made that b*tch famous”. Taylor then claimed that he had not gotten her permission to reference her like that in his music, but Kanye responded that he had called her to ask and she “totally knew that that was coming out”.

Now, in her GQ spread, Kim is saying that not only did Taylor know that the lyric would be included as such, but Kanye recorded the phone conversation where he requested it. Taylor and her legal team apparently sent letters urging “Don’t you dare do anything with that footage” and also asking them to “destroy it”. Whether or not this makes Taylor look guilty or not, she replied by showing Kim some, arguably pitiful, mock sympathy; saying that the reality star was “under pressure” to agree with everything that her husband says.

Let’s just say it doesn’t look like the two musicians will be collaborating on a track anytime soon.
