Celtic appoint Deila as new manager

Celtic have confirmed the appointment of Ronny Delia as their new manager on a 12-month rolling contract.

Della, 38, joins Celtic from Stromsgodset IF in Norway, where he won the Norwegian Premier League last season, the first time the club had won the championship in 42 years.

The Scottish Premiership champions were forced to look for a new boss following last months departure of Neil Lennon, who is seeking a new challenge after four years at Parkhead.
