Who believes that cancelling such a major event, albeit again, is necessary to contain the virus.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;Whether it&#8217;s just my optimism or maybe just wishful thinking, I do believe we will see the return of festivals in some form before the end of this year&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Other festivals may go ahead, but none can fill the gaping hole that is Glastonbury. Even those that have to wait another year for that legendary Somerset experience believe that it&#8217;s probably sensible it doesn&#8217;t go ahead.
