Bluewater Baby Loss Lantern Walk on Saturday

Kent Sands, a stillbirth charity based in Gillingham and Bexleyheath are holding a lantern walk around the lake at Bluewater shopping centre to mark the International Baby Loss Awareness Week ‘Wave of Light’.

The wave of light is an annual event, and bereaved families around the world are asked to light a candle at 7pm and leave it burning for one hour. By doing this a wave of light passes around the world in memory of all the babies, gone too soon.

Throughout the candle-lit walk there will be readings, babies’ names will be read, and flowers will be scattered around the lake.

Kent Sands will meet for their walk at 6.45 by the small lake next to Village Crescent
