Medway supports National Walk to School Month

The KM charity group are campaigning for more children to walk to school this month to amend the downward trend of the number of pupils who walk to school.
Primary schools can sign up to the ‘Hedgehog Hike’ challenge and secondary schools can sign up for ‘the social netwalk’ on the KM charity group’s website.
The number of children who walk to school has decreased from 70% to 51% in a single generation, according to government statistics.
Medway Council have backed the charity group’s pledge for Medway schools to get involved with this month’s challenges.
