Man charged after double stabbing at pub in Meopham
A man has been charged after a double stabbing outside pub The Cricketers Inn in Meopham, Kent
The incident happened on Saturday night with the police arriving on the scene at around 9.15pm.
Craig Allen, 35, was announced dead on the scene whilst the other has now been discharged from a London hospital.
Police have arrested 29 year old Miguel Batista who appeared at Maidstone Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday and has been charged with attempted murder.
Villagers remain upset by the incident, Kyle Blair a Meopham resident expressed his dismay.
“Meopham is such a lovely village, known for its absolutely lovely people but I just can’t believe a stabbing has happened in a place like this. It’s just devastating”
