The nominations for this BAFTAs 2023 have been released with Netflix\u2019s All Quiet On The Western Front taking the lead of the most nominations with 14, following with Everything Everything All At Once with 10 nominations and Elvis coming in third with 9 nominations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This year\u2019s front runner All Quiet On The Western Front is an adaptation of the same title, set at the near ending of World War I – the movie follows German soldier Paul B\u00e4umer as he exposes himself to the realities of war after enlisting to join the army with his friends. Felix Kammerer made his big screen debut with the lead role of the young German soldier. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The multiverse blockbuster that is taking the world by storm, Everything Everywhere All At Once is directed by the \u2018Daniels\u2019 – Daniel Kwan and Daniel Schienert shares the story of Evelyn and her family as they try to defeat the \u2018Jobu Tupaki\u2019 and understand each other while jumping through other universes. Michelle Yeoh is up for Best Actress and her co-star Ke Huy Quan for Best Supporting Actor. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The self-titled Elvis took over our minds and our hearts as Austin Butler took the role of the King of Rock n Roll. The biographical drama of Elvis\u2019s career and livelihood until his death is told from the perspective of his former manager Colonel Tom Parker. The movie featured Tom Hanks as Colonel and Olivia DeJonge as Priscilla Presley. The movie is currently the second highest grossing music biopic of all time behind Bohemian Rhapsody. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Cate Blanchett stars in the psychological drama T\u00e1r, written, directed and produced by Todd Field, as Lydia T\u00e1r who is a pianist, composer and the first female chief conductor of the Berlin Philharmonic. Her career comes crashing down after being accused of abusive behaviour towards young women. The drama film is up for five nominations including Best original screenplay.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For the honourable mentions, the fictionalised biopic of Marilyn Monroe, Blonde, stars Ana de Armas which shows the life of the past actresses life from childhood, her past lovers, her movies and her tragedy leading up to her death. The Netflix movie received one nomination, Best Actress. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

With another Netflix movie, Matilda the Musical, adapted from the stage musical, written by Tim Minchin has been nominated for Outstanding British film.
