Following Thursday night’s 4-2 victory against Tottenham, Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola gave a savage post-match interview in which he lashed out at both his own players and supporters.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

After falling behind 2-0 in the first half, City rallied to earn a critical three points at the Etihad Stadium. Dejan Kulusevski and Emerson Royal both scored goals to put Spurs firmly in control, but fast goals from Julian Alvarez and Erling Haaland tied the game.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The victory was subsequently sealed for the home team by Riyad Mahrez, who finished off an outstanding display with two goals. Guardiola was incredibly frustrated following his team’s stunning triumph, and he made it clear that neither his team nor the club’s supporters should have any misconceptions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

After being insulted in the interview, Guardiola paused before casting a perplexed glance the reporter’s way. The former Bayern Munich manager said, “I don’t have to tell you what I said,” and then left the interview.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Davidson made an effort to persuade Guardiola to come back, but he was unsuccessful. Guardiola went back to the City locker room \u2013 probably to make a plan for his team’s Sunday match against the Wolves.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The former Barcelona manager already attacked City’s supporters in a different interview. He charged that fans were “quiet” for the first 45 minutes as they saw their team struggle and go down 2-0.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

At the sound of the halftime whistle, a small portion of spectators inside the Etihad Stadium could be heard booing. Guardiola was seen by broadcast cameras gazing up at the crowd with a startled expression and a very annoyed look on his face.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
