Rochester witnessed a brutal assault earlier this year. In the early hours of the 22nd of January outside of a night club, Aiman Aziz (left) and Ayoub Omer (right) attacked three men using a baseball bat.
One of the men sustained a fractured skull and a brain bleed.
This week saw the sentencing for 18-year-old Aziz as he plead guilty at Maidstone Crown Court on the 6th of November, he is serving four years and eight months behind bars.
20-year-old Omer denied involvement, however after a trial he was found guilty and sentenced to 5 years.
They were forced to leave the venue after Aziz assaulted one of the victims inside. The pair waited outside to initiate their savage follow up attack.
The investigating officer, Detective Constable Vicki Hartland, said “The physical scars and psychological impact will no doubt remain with the victims for the rest of their lives.”
