The infant and his father were both found dead in their Skegness property on January 9th. The father suffered a fatal heart attack and it is believed his son, Bronson, starved to death in the following days.
Blame has fallen upon social services and the police but Melanie Battersby, 37 year old sister of Bronson, says they are not at fault.
Lincolnshire county has said a “rapid review” will be carried out.
The issue is also being investigated by the Independent Office for Police Conduct (IOPC) to see if there were “missed opportunities” in checking on the well being of the two individuals.
Kenneth Battersby had previously suffered another heart attack just a few months before his death.
A social worker had knocked the door of the property on January 2nd and having no response reported it to her manager and the police.
It is believed Mr Battersby died about a week before the bodies were discovered and that the infant survived for two to three days after his father passed.
