Oktoberfest: Brought to you by Maidstone

Oktoberfest is a series of classic things rolled together into one exciting and unforgettable event. People are singing at the top of their lungs with a stein brimming with beer.

Even though this drunken celebration is usually held in Germany, it has branched out across the world and is an event to be had in all corners of the world. Maidstone will be celebrating Oktoberfest from the 4th to the 5th of October.

The tradition for this attraction began in the 1800’s and was meant to celebrate the marriage of Prince Ludwig and his bride. There were events like horse races, excessive amounts of food, and as usual, a lot of beer. The festival starts in mid-September and ends on the first Sunday of October in Munich.

The Maidstone Oktoberfest is only a weekend long, but it will feature live music, food booths, barrels of beer, a stein for the occasion, and a lot more. It is held over in Mote park from 12pm until 11pm. There will be more than enough to make the event worthwhile.

The final preparations are being put on their new super-sized stage where they will feature both live bands and dj’s throughout the weekend. There is indoor and outdoor seating, and Maidstone’s “largest umbrella” will be present in case of rain.

Whether its rain or shine, Maidstone is ready to kick off their annual Bierfest.
