Severe weather warning issued for Sunday as heavy rain expected

Northern and eastern areas of the UK, including Kent, is facing a yellow severe weather warning this Sunday.

The Met Office are warning that heavy rain will hit on Sunday and continue into Monday. They warned that localised flooding and some interruption to power supplies were “likely”.

Travel disruption could also be on the way, with warnings that bus and rail services will “probably” be affected and journey times could be longer.

There have already been several flood warnings along the North Kent coast over the past few days as the remnants of Hurricane Lorenzo hit the UK.
