Female logo to be dropped from Always sanitary products next month

The Always brand has pledged to drop the female logo from all of its packaging starting next month.

The sanitary brand came to the decision after several transgender campaigners spoke out criticising the decision to include the Venus logo, representative of femininity.

Always penned a letter to teenage transgender campaigner Ben Saunders after they contacted the company earlier this year. The brand stated that it will begin removing the sign from its packaging in December 2019 and aim for the logo to be gone from all products by February 2020.

The company thanked Saunders for their contribution stating that comments help them improve the brand.

The decision has been met with controversy with some feminists stating that the action is a chilling move towards the elimination of women’s biology.

Feminist campaigner Julie Bindel told The Mail on Sunday that the agreement was “basically denying the existence of women”.

Some have even pledged to boycott the brand.
