One Big Family is welcoming rough sleepers to its emergency winter refuge in Chatham for its third year now as it opens up for the colder winter months.
The refuge shelter is situated on the lower floor of Emmaus Church on Clover Street and is open now until March 2020. Guests can enter the building up until 11pm on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays, or any day that the temperature is forecast to be (or feel like) zero degrees and below.
Although this is a shelter for the homeless, they offer more than just a bed for the night.
