A ‘Happy to Chat’ bench is touring Medway, aiming to raise awareness of social isolation.
The bench was made by the group Medway Men in Sheds, an initiative set up to also combat the issue of loneliness. The group meets regularly for classes including art, music, mental health and woodwork.
The ‘happy to chat’ bench was created in the woodwork classes and the team who run the bench, A Better Medway, hope that the bench will continue touring in the New Year.

The Happy to Chat bench will be touring Medway on the following dates:
Friday 29 November: Gillingham High Street from 10am to 2pm and Monday 2 December: Medway Park from 10am to 2pm
