On the 27th of January Covid-19 restrictions were eased in the UK, meaning face-masks are no longer mandatory in indoor spaces, Coronavirus passports are not a necessity and rules on isolation have changed.

Kent Connect News readers responded in our latest Twitter poll, where we asked whether they would feel safe with the lack of rules in place. 59% of those who responded said they wouldn’t feel safe, with 41% saying they wouldn’t feel worried.

So quite a close call as we move out of Plan B back to Plan A, however some shops will still ask customers to wear face coverings.

People in the UK are also no longer advised to work from home, however they are required to still wear face coverings on public transport.

There will be some further lifting of restrictions from Monday 31st of January.
