“Thank you for the music” at Chatham’s Central Theatre

The international smash-hit tribute show“Thank you for the music – the ultimate tribute to ABBA” will bring all of ABBA’s number one hits to the stage and thank ABBA for their numerous number one hits. The show will be playing at Central Theatre Chatham from tomorrow night.

Martin Spooner, one of the main four singers said: “We expect fantastic atmosphere, the show is not far from being sold out so we expect a lot of singer and maybe some dancing! Central Theatre Chatham is an incredible venue with fantastic staff and the fans are just the best.”

He added that people can expect unmistakable harmonies, colourful costumes and dazzling performances by an all-star cast that will have thanking ABBA for the music again and again.

Mr Spooner always loved ABBAs music and said that every song is a classic for him, however Thank You For The Music is one of the band’s favourite songs to perform.

The four singers who perform as the famous ABBA quartet will be accompanied by their drummer and guitarist when performing ABBA’s most famous songs, including Waterloo, Dancing Queen, Mamma Mia, The Winner Takes It All and of course Thank you for the music.

The show in Chatham will only be one of many, Martin Spooner said: “We are currently touring and doing around fifty shows nationally a year with the odd appearance abroad.”

He added that as for most touring bands, travelling, especially when having back to back shows is the biggest challenge for the band.

But what is it that makes the hits of ABBA so special? Mr Spooner thinks that growing up with the music keeps people wanting more.

Even though the band is also playing in a Bee Gee’s hits, the ABBA show is their primary and most professional band.

People interested in seeing “Thank you for the music – the ultimate tribute to ABBA”, should buy their tickets as soon as possible as the show is nearly sold out. It starts at 7.30pm on 6 October.
