Where is Sarah Wellgreen?

by Laerke Christensen, reporter

It’s been more than three months since Sarah Wellgreen, a mother-of-five from Bazes Shaw, New Ash Green in Kent was last seen.

Ms Wellgreen, who had just been offered a new job when she disappeared was reported missing on the 11th of October last year and has not been heard from since.

In spite of three home searches, countless volunteer searches by more than 1,300 volunteers and police reviewing more than 2,000 hours of CCTV and dash cam footage, there is no sign of the now 47-year-old.

Her ex-partner Ben Lacomba was taken into police custody on the 16th of October but released on bail. He was since arrested and charged with the murder of Sarah Wellgreen on the 20th December. He appeared at Maidstone Crown Court on the 17th January to plead not guilty to the murder charge. His trial date is set for June 18.

Volunteers have coordinated searches and spread the message of the missing mum via the Facebook group Search for Sarah Wellgreen. They have also started the Sarah Wellgreen Trust to raise money for the family, which has currently raised just over £2,500 of its £50,000 goal.
