Royal Wedding Choir seeking youths to perform in Canterbury

The Kingdom Choir, the famous gospel group who performed at the Royal Wedding last May is coming to Kent as part of their ‘Stand By Me’ tour.

After their debut album went number one on the Billboard Gospel Chart Songs, they are now planning to tour the country with Youth Choirs local to the venues they’ve picked.

The Kingdom Choir will start their tour at Royal Albert Hall on the anniversary of Prince Harry and Meghan’s wedding this 19th May. But before they head to Marlowe Theatre in Canterbury on the 27th of May, they need to choose a Kent Youth Choir.

So to get to join them that day, local choirs with members aged from 10 to 18 will need to complete an application form and link to a video of one of their performances.

The children will get to sing along to the Kingdom Choir’s album, which includes covers of Beyonce’s Halo, John Legend’s All of Me and even a gospel version of Stormy’s Blinded By Your Grace.

The deadline is 5pm on Thursday, 31st January.
