Car chase ends in arrest of man from Margate

A man from Margate has been arrested after a dramatic police chase yesterday evening.

The chase ended when the car smashed into a parked van at 5.25pm last night Crescent road, Ramsgate.

A man was arrested on suspicion of theft, driving offences, possession of a weapon and intending to supply cannabis.

There was a short pursuit after the vehicle refused to stop when asked to do so by police.

The 20-year-old man from Margate remains in custody.
