New figures show 113% homeless rise

Numbers released by the Combined Homeless and Information Network show there’s been a huge rise in homelessness since 2010.

Labour have branded the 113% rise in the problem as a “national disgrace” and have blamed cuts to welfare and an increase in private rents.

The issue is particularly big in the Medway area where two men died over the Christmas period.
