Art shop closure makes way for comedy hub opening

An art shop in Rochester is preparing to close its doors for the final time next week.

The Two Post Alley Store opened up five months ago when an artist borrowed the property to sell some of her art work.

Jeanie Crosbie was told by her landlord that the property was vacant and she could use it to showcase her pottery.

The store has given 25 artists, aged from 18 to 70, the opportunity to show their art skills and sell their creations.

The shop will be open for its last day on Friday 29th November.

While artists across the town are saddened by its closure, a new business is opening up in hope of raising more money for charity.

Much Laughter was founded by Sharon Hales. The business runs comedy nights to raise money for charity

Sharon Hales set up Much Laughter as a way to raise awareness for FASD, foetal alcohol spectrum disorder.
