White Stork chicks hatch at The Wildwood Trust as part of conservation programme
For many the White Stork is an iconic bird known for being the bearer of babies.
But now, they’ve had little chicks of their own at The Wildwood Trust in Herne Bay and visitors have been travelling miles to catch a glimpse.
The resident pair were coupled as part of a conservation programme last year and for the first time ever at the trust, this breeding programme is now well underway.
Rewilding White Storks is a big target for conservation parks across Kent and the South East with the first eggs from wild birds laid just 2 weeks ago.
