The world of tennis has been left in turmoil following the BBC research team casting doubt on the timing of Novak Djokovic’s positive covid tests.

The world’s number one provided two documents to a federal court in Australia as evidence to avoid rules banning unvaccinated people. The serial number on the covid test taken on December 16th appears to be higher than the second test taken on December 22nd causing huge controversy.  The code on the first test also has been revealed to be out of sequence with the sample of tests that were taken in Serbia.

Djokovic’ application was rejected by Australian authorities but not on these grounds.

This discrepancy was discovered by German research group Zerforschung who released a blog titled “Novak Djokovic’s time travelling PCR tests” in partnership with German news site Der Spiegel who reported on the issue.
