World Cup stickers released today: How much will they cost?

The traditional Panini World Cup sticker album was released today, 84 days before the start of the 2018 football World Cup held in Russia.

The Italian company has been producing the album since the 1970 World Cup, but this is its biggest and most expensive edition.

The collection will contain over 700 stickers and each sticker pack will cost 80p, a 30p increase in comparison to the 2014 World Cup’s album.

Collectors should expect to spend a minimum of £130 -if they have no sticker duplicates- to complete the album.

The World Cup Panini Album was launched today.

And although many people were excited with the launch of the sticker album, there were many who were outraged at the sudden price rice of the sticker packs.

Collectors complained on social media and attacked Panini repeatedly .

Users complained the rise in social media.

The sticker company, whose UK HQ is located in Tunbridge Wells, attributed the pay rise to the copyright and licensing cost of national teams and the FIFA. Panini also announced the launch of the digital World Cup sticker album accessible online or via the Panini Digital Sticker Album app.

In this new platform, collectors will be able to swap sticker and access extra stickers and special badges that can be found in Coca-Cola products.
