By Holly Tidwell, reporter

Nucleus Arts Centre in Chatham will be opening a new location in the Conservancy on the Rochester High Street.

The Grade II listed building was previously an annex to the Guildhall Museum and has been the focus the focus of debates within county councillors in recent weeks.

Nucleus Arts previously had a centre in Rochester, but closed last year due to business reasons. After the closure it has become their mission to get back to Rochester.

After receiving a Legacy Gift, the centre now has the funding for the Conservancy Building and will complete on the building next Monday.

Starting Monday Nucleus will begin renovating the Conservancy Building.

The owner, Dalia Halpern and her staff are excited to move into such an old building, but will need to revamp the space.

By bringing the building back to life they will attract more artists and creatives to their new location.
