Ex-QPR boss Redknapp takes on Jordan

Harry Redknapp, the former West Ham, Tottenham and QPR manager has been appointed as the manager of Jordan for their next two World Cup qualifiers.

The 69-year-old, who won the FA Cup with Portsmouth in 2008, will take charge for matches against Bangladesh and Australia later on this month.

Jordan, who have never managed to qualify for a World Cup, are currently second in their Asian qualification group.

They were formerly managed by ex-Chelsea assistant manager Ray Wilkins from September 2014 until June 2015.
