Indiana Jones’ New Hope and Han Solo’s Temple of Youth
It’s finally official! Harrison Ford, after a stunning comeback as Han Solo in the Star Wars saga, is going to return as the no less iconic Indiana Jones! Disney confirmed, that the new Indiana Jones film will be released on 17th of July 2019 and as usual, it will be directed by Steven Spielberg.
The gigantic financial success of The Force Awakens encouraged the company to cast the actor in a yet another blockbuster, and Ford who turns 74 this year, seems to be having the second golden age of his career. Some say the actor might be a little bit too old for the part, with Twitter users suggesting rather mean titles for the new movie.

Indie doesn’t seem impressed though.
Ford returning as Doctor Jones means that the rumors about Chris Pratt or Bradley Cooper taking over as the lead character were simply not true. Even the father of the franchise, Steven Spielberg recently said: “There is only one Indiana Jones, and it’s Harrison Ford”. The question whether we get to see Shia Labeouf returning as Indie’s son remains unanswered.
While Spielberg refuses to cast anybody but Harrison Ford as Indie, Disney is already making a movie about young Han Solo. A spin-off will tell the origin story of the famous smuggler and show his first encounter with his best friend Chewbacca.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, these three actors are given the best chances of getting the part:
Alden Ehrenreich
Jack Reynor
Taron Egerton
Tell us in the comments, who do you think would make the best Han Solo?
