Launch of Hue creative agency aiming to diversify the media

Diversity has been a buzzword in the media for a few years now following the release of films like “Black Panther” which was praised for its use of a predominantly black cast. Now a group of women from London are trying to bring diversity to the British creative industry by creating their own creative agency called Hue.

According to The Guardian black and minority ethnic workers are represented at just 4.4% within the film industry. The Guardian also found that freelance creatives lose over £5000 yearly working for free.

The ladies initially started out as a film club for black women called Black Femme Film, but thought that the film club limited the change they wanted to make in terms of diversifying media. They announced the creative agency at a networking event for their film club.

Combining all their individual skill sets the ladies hope to gain more opportunities for black women through their agency.
