It’s all over. England have turned things around and taken six wickets for 20 runs. An amazing comeback from England and Jake Ball has five wickets on his debut! Kudos England!

Keilan Webster 7th October 20165:35 pm

WICKET – 288 ALL OUT – Mosh – 7 – England win by 21 runs.

Keilan Webster 7th October 20165:33 pm

Dot.

Keilan Webster 7th October 20165:33 pm

Single. 22 from 16 needed.

Keilan Webster 7th October 20165:32 pm

Wide ball.

Keilan Webster 7th October 20165:32 pm

Single. 24 from 17 balls.

Keilan Webster 7th October 20165:32 pm

47 OVERS – 285-9

25 needed from 18 balls. Just two from Rashid’s over and England have this all but won. Cannot see these two blasting at over eight an over now. Ball given his namesake again.
Keilan Webster 7th October 20165:30 pm

Fine tickle. Inside edge. Two taken.

Keilan Webster 7th October 20165:30 pm

Big appeal for LBW. Umpire deems it to be spinning too much. Dot.

Keilan Webster 7th October 20165:29 pm

Another dot. Questionably should have been a wide. 27 from 22 balls.

Keilan Webster 7th October 20165:29 pm

Rashid to continue. Dot ball. 27 from 23 balls. I reckon it ends in this over.

Keilan Webster 7th October 20165:28 pm

46 OVERS – 283-9

Mosh slaps one to the boundary but it’s hit with no conviction and it plugs. The last of the balls goes for a single. 27 needed from 24 balls. Just one pole to get.
Keilan Webster 7th October 20165:27 pm

WICKET – 280-9 – SHAFIUL – 0

Shocking running and a great throw from that man Rashid again. As an excited Nasser Hussain would say – YOU CAN’T KEEP HIM OUT THE GAME! One left in the shed. Taskin Ahmed and his task is a big one.
Keilan Webster 7th October 20165:25 pm

WICKET – 280-9 – SHAFIUL – 0

Keilan Webster 7th October 20165:25 pm

Kamikaze stuff here. Ball was chunked up into the air towards mid-off. Bangladesh went for a single and a direct hit and he’s gone!!!

Keilan Webster 7th October 20165:24 pm

Great shape from Ball first up. Dot.

Keilan Webster 7th October 20165:23 pm

45 OVERS – 280-8

30 off 30 balls needed. Six an over for those that slummed in the bottom set of Maths. Rashid is a whisker away from taking Shaful’s off stump and the hosts survive the over without another wicket. A terrific six from Rashid.
Keilan Webster 7th October 20165:22 pm

Run rate is just less than six – in the space of four overs the game has completely turned on its head.

Keilan Webster 7th October 20165:21 pm

Turns out he was stumped off a wide – extremely clever bowling

Keilan Webster 7th October 20165:20 pm

It’s the big one as Kayes is stumped off Rashid. Inspired decision to bring on the leg spinner and the opener has gone. Perhaps with it Bangladesh’s hopes?

Keilan Webster 7th October 20165:19 pm

WICKET – 279-8 – KAYES – 112

Keilan Webster 7th October 20165:18 pm

No, but pitched outside leg. As you were.

Keilan Webster 7th October 20165:17 pm

But was there bat?

Keilan Webster 7th October 20165:17 pm

Did look pretty plumb

Keilan Webster 7th October 20165:17 pm

Oh, England are reviewing the last ball of the over.

Keilan Webster 7th October 20165:17 pm

44 OVERS – 279-7

A wide off the first from Ball. Kayes clips the second for a single. New bat Mosharraf doesn’t look the most competent at the crease as he tentatively blocks the third. Another wide from Ball. 31 off 36 required.
Keilan Webster 7th October 20165:12 pm

43 OVERS – 274-7

Three wickets in two overs. Cries! What a turnaround! The opener is still there but England have dragged themselves from the depths of defeat to the brink of redemption. Ball back for a debut five-for?
Keilan Webster 7th October 20165:10 pm

WICKET – 274-7 Mortaza – 1

Rashid gets one to grip and Mortaza feathers through to Buttler who takes a good catch in following the run. Three more needed for England.
Keilan Webster 7th October 20165:09 pm

    WICKET – 274-7 Mortaza – 1

Keilan Webster 7th October 20165:07 pm

    42 Overs – 271-6

Well, well, well. Two wickets on the spin and it’s alive as a game again. Ball has four but Kayes has 108 and is still there. Get rid of him and it’s anyone’s, if he’s there at the end Bangladesh probably have the win
Keilan Webster 7th October 20165:06 pm

But not today, a straight drive back to him. Dot.

Keilan Webster 7th October 20165:05 pm

Ball took one against Middlesex only a couple weeks ago…

Keilan Webster 7th October 20165:05 pm

    Hat trick ball…

Keilan Webster 7th October 20165:04 pm

    WICKET – 271-6 – MOSADDEK – 0

There was a small break for an injury before the wicket which may have influenced the poor connection on the shot. But will England care? Not a jot. Mosaddek is the new bat and he’s gone!!! Ball cuts one back in and he chops on. Maybe not too late?
Keilan Webster 7th October 20165:02 pm

    WICKET – 271-5 – SHAKIB AL HASAN – 79

Jake Ball has his third as Shakib hoiks into the leg side and Willey takes a low catch down to his left. Too late?
Keilan Webster 7th October 20164:57 pm

Jos Buttler cuts a forlorn figure behind the stumps. Two set batsmen cruising to victory, who can blame him? Then again he is the captain – inspire Jos!

Keilan Webster 7th October 20164:56 pm

Bangladesh absolutely cruising. England 38 runs less at this stage. England need 40-6 to win

Keilan Webster 7th October 20164:55 pm

    41 OVERS – 265-4

BANG! Four straight down the ground off the first ball. Easy single off the second. Ditto third. Dot from the fourth. Lofted cover drive for two on five. Single at six. Nine from it. 45 needed. 54 balls left.
Keilan Webster 7th October 20164:52 pm

Freddie’s abysmal tally of one wicket from his stint in the hot seat needs to be addressed from an England point of view. Third power play and Rashid enter

Keilan Webster 7th October 20164:51 pm

    40 OVERS – 256-4

Jake Ball – a picture of hard work and sweat – is back on and having taken two of England’s four poles, chances are he’s on to grab another. Uneventful over which is exactly what the hosts want at this stage of the game. 54 off 10 overs needed
Keilan Webster 7th October 20164:46 pm

Good evening everyone! I’ve been entrusted with the final bend on this enthralling match. Can Bangladesh produce a shock or will England survive a scare?

Freddie Nicholas 7th October 20164:43 pm

Worth mentioning that Shakib has reached his fifty in only 39 balls. Awesome hitting from the Bangladeshi middle order batsman.

Freddie Nicholas 7th October 20164:42 pm

    38 OVERS 239-4

Shakib has really taken a particular disdain to the England bowlers in the last few overs, aggressively chasing after every ball, Moeen a particular victim. I don’t really see how England can stem the tidal wave of runs which is hurtling Bangladesh to victory. The partnership is 86 from 73 balls.
Freddie Nicholas 7th October 20164:40 pm

    50 FOR SHAKIB AL HASAN

Freddie Nicholas 7th October 20164:39 pm

Shakib tonks it over square leg for a six! We thought it may be a chance for England, alas no. Only disappointment and despair. The ball after he plays it straight down the ground for four. England are getting battered here.

Freddie Nicholas 7th October 20164:37 pm

    37 OVERS 226-4

Well batted, Sir Imrul Kayes of Bangladesh. Carrying his side’s innings quite beautifully, he has put the Bangladeshis in a wonderful position to win the match.
Jason Roy has gone over quite heavily on his shoulder diving to try (and fail) to prevent another Bangladeshi boundary. A long pause for his treatment. Bangladesh only need 84 form 79, and they are ahead of the rate with wickets in hand. It’s not looking good for England..
Freddie Nicholas 7th October 20164:31 pm

    KAYESY REACHES HIS CENTURY

    BANGLADESH 218-4
Freddie Nicholas 7th October 20164:31 pm

    36 OVERS 214-4

Only 96 needed form 84 balls form Bangladesh here, they are most definitely in the driving seat.
Freddie Nicholas 7th October 20164:28 pm

    35 OVERS 207-4

England need a breakthrough, with Bangladesh only needing about 100 from 15 overs. Gettable. Kayes is only 4 runs form his century, something that would be richly deserved.
Freddie Nicholas 7th October 20164:23 pm

    34 OVERS 203-4

Bangladesh bring up the 200, with the partnership progressing to 49 from just 48 balls. Kayesy keeping his composure, rattling through the 90s, still on 94. England really need a wicket..
Freddie Nicholas 7th October 20164:21 pm

    33 OVERS 197-4

Bangladesh batting quite well now, rotating the strike regularly and keeping up with the run rate. These two will really fancy themselves if they can stay in and see Bangladesh through to victory. What have England got?
Freddie Nicholas 7th October 20164:16 pm

    32 OVERS 192-4

Bangladesh moving at a canter here, picking up their pace form earlier on in the innings. Kayes has reached the nervous nineties, off just 93 balls. Shakib also batting quite nicely with 21 off 20. Can England build some pressure?
Freddie Nicholas 7th October 20164:13 pm

    31 OVERS 188-4

Really quite wild from the enigma that is Ben Stokes, a hefty 14 coming from that last over. The fiery ginger (like Dan Surey) showed perhaps too much aggression there.

Freddie Nicholas 7th October 20164:09 pm

Stokes getting quite wild here, his first ball goes for four, followed by a wide in the second ball. He really needs to keep his head here.

Freddie Nicholas 7th October 20164:08 pm

    30 0VERS 174-4

Freddie Nicholas 7th October 20164:05 pm

A long delay for some drinks here, but Kayes is re emerging form the ground and getting his pads on, ready to complete the over.

Freddie Nicholas 7th October 20164:01 pm

Some misfields from England, Ben Stokes letting one though, so Kayes scampers through for another single. Will they make England pay? On another note Kayesy is on the ground sipping some water, maybe suffering from some cramp in the searing Dhaka heat.

Freddie Nicholas 7th October 20163:58 pm

    29 OVERS 170-4

Stokesy has come back into the attack here, Shakib starting in the same vein as dear departed Mushy, a quick 11 from 11 balls.
Freddie Nicholas 7th October 20163:53 pm

    28 OVERS 163-4

Nice and tight from Moeen, limiting the Bangladeshis to mainly singles.
Freddie Nicholas 7th October 20163:50 pm
    27 OVERS 160-4

New batsman Shakib plays a lovely delicate sweep off his second ball for 4. Kayesy still there.. standing tall like a great oak tree of Bangladeshi hope. Will he fall?

Freddie Nicholas 7th October 20163:47 pm

Another one holed out to the infamous Kent substitute. Mushy swings carelessly at this one, perfectly finding Billings for his second catch. Rashid picks up another wicket.

Freddie Nicholas 7th October 20163:46 pm
    WICKET- BANGLADESH

    MUSHY IS GONE!!

CAUGHT KEILANS BOYFRIEND (BILLINGS) B RASHID 12
Freddie Nicholas 7th October 20163:45 pm

    WICKET!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Freddie Nicholas 7th October 20163:45 pm

    26 OVERS 153-3

Kayesy really carrying this innings with 73 out of a total of 153. Mushy is also playing his part, chugging along at over a run a ball.
Freddie Nicholas 7th October 20163:43 pm

Ben Stokes fizzes the ball at the stumps in a run out attempt, it could have been out but Buttler fumbles for an overthrow.

Freddie Nicholas 7th October 20163:41 pm

    25 OVERS 144-3

Mushy looking very focused here, they need a big innings from you, mate. As long as Bangladesh can steady the ship they’re still in a great position to win the game. England could do with some more wickets.
Freddie Nicholas 7th October 20163:39 pm

    24 OVERS 139-3

Nice and tight form Moeen in that over. Special K is back by my side for a joint edition of the live blog.
Freddie Nicholas 7th October 20163:35 pm

    23 OVERS 135-3

Mushy peas is off the mark with a single. Bangladesh need to rebuild here, but England smell another wicket. The positive for Bangladesh is Kayesy is still looking solid at the crease, with 66 off 68 balls.
Freddie Nicholas 7th October 20163:34 pm

The next batsman is named Mushfiqur.. a ready made nickname. Let’s see what Mushy can do.

Freddie Nicholas 7th October 20163:33 pm

Huge wicket in the context of the game here, breaking up a disruptive Bangladeshi partnership. The end of Mud, form a slog sweep holed out to Keilan’s boyfriend Sam Billings in the deep.

Freddie Nicholas 7th October 20163:31 pm
    WICKET

MAHMUDULLAH caught Billings b Rashid 25

Freddie Nicholas 7th October 20163:30 pm

    WICKET!!!!!

Freddie Nicholas 7th October 20163:30 pm

    22 OVERS 132-2

Bangladesh are flying here. A fine sweep from Kayesy brings a four, the rate is rising and rising with every over, they must be about level here..
Freddie Nicholas 7th October 20163:26 pm

At this point England were only on 103-3, Bangladesh a whole 20 runs ahead.

Freddie Nicholas 7th October 20163:26 pm
    21 OVERS- 123-2

Great flat bat straight drive from Mud to smack Rashid of his first ball of the over. A run out chance here maybe? No.. a fumble from Chris Woakes sees them through. Rashid being an attacking leg spinner, he often leaks runs, and this proves to be the case here, with 9 from the over. It’s time for a wicket England!
Freddie Nicholas 7th October 20163:21 pm

    20 0VERS 114-2

Moeen Ali has come on from the other end for spin from both for England here. Bangladesh are in with a great chance if they can hold on to some wickets here, both players looking fairly solid. The Kayes wicket key for England. Four singles from the over.
Freddie Nicholas 7th October 20163:18 pm

    19 OVERS 110-2

Yorkshire spinner Adil is keeping it fairly tight here, David Willey provides a fabulous boundary stop to prevent four.. except for the last ball which Mud creams for four.
Freddie Nicholas 7th October 20163:15 pm

The whole newsroom is slightly terse as the deadline approaches, except for your main man Fred who’s in the corner covering this little ol live blog. Need to keep my head down.

Freddie Nicholas 7th October 20163:14 pm

    18th OVER 100-2

A slightly bad end to the over by the Nottinghamshire paceman, as Kayes keeps the Bangladesh innings ticking over. Advil Rashid is about to start the 20TH
Freddie Nicholas 7th October 20163:12 pm
    50 FOR KAYES

Jake Ball, so tight during the rest of the over, has fired out a ball which must have slipped from his hands, with the ump calling a no ball. Imrul goes hell for leather and top edges one over the keeper to bring up his half century.

Freddie Nicholas 7th October 20163:08 pm
    18TH OVER 91-2

Stokes misses the stumps by a matter of millimetres. The Bangladeshis slightly chaotic between the wickets, with a run out attempt nearly taking out the umpire who dived for cover! Bangladesh getting further and further behind the run rate. Nice and tight from Stokesy.

Freddie Nicholas 7th October 20163:04 pm

    18TH OVER 90-2

Stokes steaming in, bowling teasers for Kayes to hit, which he is unable to do.
Keilan Webster 7th October 20163:01 pm

Keilan has abandoned his duties so your main man Freddie Nicholas is taking over

Keilan Webster 7th October 20163:00 pm

    16th OVER – 89-2

Scare for a run out but despite the dive Mud is safe. More solid stuff from Ball.
Keilan Webster 7th October 20162:57 pm

England were 71-3 at this stage so Bangladesh are still very much alive. Then again they don’t have Jos Buttler

Keilan Webster 7th October 20162:55 pm

    15th OVER – 87-2

Mahmudullah is in, or as you and I will now know him – Mud. Ball’s two wickets have helped England wrestle back control, although with Kayes still at the crease Bangladesh are still a dangerous force. An angry Ben Stokes (who’d have thought it?!) reacts to four off the last being clipped to fine leg.
Keilan Webster 7th October 20162:50 pm

    WICKET – 82-2 – SABBIR – 18

Sensational work from David Willey – he’s smiling now! Sabbir launches one to the mid-wicket boundary and Willey takes a blinder, keeps his composure, thinks double quick and takes the catch. On second thoughts, he’s still not smiling.
Keilan Webster 7th October 20162:49 pm

David Willey has taken a grab on the boundary – goes over the ropes, lobs it into the air and takes it as he steps back inside – looks good!

Keilan Webster 7th October 20162:48 pm

    Wicket maybe?!?

Keilan Webster 7th October 20162:48 pm

    14th OVER – 82-2

Ball doesn’t quite get his first bouncer right and gets the treatment to the ropes. The same goes for the fifth which Sabbir crunches back past him.Kayes is in good nick, seven away from 50 – as are Bangladesh – up with the run rate and very much in the game. England could do with some wickets.
Keilan Webster 7th October 20162:44 pm

    13th OVER – 71-1

Stokes is on for Woakes – both decent blokes who don’t choke (unless it’s the World T20 final of course) and when it’s wet get soaked. Okay, I’m done. That was awful. I’m sorry. Anywayyyyyy, second ball of the over goes for four down to third man and Kayes moves to 36 from 38. The last is coasted through mid-wicket for four more, lovely touch. Nine from it.
Keilan Webster 7th October 20162:39 pm

    12th OVER – 62-1

Jake Ball continues to hit the deck and Bangladesh continue to swish without success. They scramble two off the last.
Keilan Webster 7th October 20162:36 pm

    Cheer up Dave!

Keilan Webster 7th October 20162:35 pm

    11th OVER – 57-1

Kayes wacks the first one over mid-wicket for four. Woakes is nice and tight for the rest of the over.
Keilan Webster 7th October 20162:32 pm

    10TH OVER – 50-1

A great over by Ball only ruined by new bat Sabbir edging one over first slip for four bits. The umpire twirls his arm and that’s the power play
Keilan Webster 7th October 20162:30 pm

    WICKET – 46-1 – Iqbal – 17

And he strikes in his first over! Tamil goes for the big hit, in fact it might have gone for ten if he had connected. Instead it goes north and James Vince meets it on the way down.
Keilan Webster 7th October 20162:26 pm

Jake Ball is on for his ODI England debut

Keilan Webster 7th October 20162:25 pm

    9th OVER – 45-0

A more sedate over this one. Couple of singles, couple of pictures of Woakes exasperated. Three runs.
Keilan Webster 7th October 20162:22 pm

It’s a newsroom full of tension here at the moment, with a lot of focused faces – not least Duarte Dias – if only he was as engrossed in our paper as he is at a ridiculous load of garbage on space

Keilan Webster 7th October 20162:20 pm

    8th OVER – 42-0

Bairstow chases a Tamin slash over the covers to prevent a boundary but at the moment Bangladesh are struggling to pierce England’s infield. Scrap that – SIX! Serious biffage from Kayes over mid wicket clears the ropes. They take four off the last as Willey drifts onto the pads. A much needed 13 off the over.
Keilan Webster 7th October 20162:16 pm

    7th OVER – 28-0

Woakes is back on. Fiery bouncer to start. Lots of big swings and not a lot of dingage thus far. In other news Julius Cowdrey – brother of Kent star Fabian and grandson of former England captain Colin – is the new addition to Made In Chelsea series 12. That’s the over.
Keilan Webster 7th October 20162:11 pm

    6th OVER – 25-0

Willey continues at the other end and immediately almost tempts Tamin to edge behind to James Vince in the slips – the exact person who plays those type of loose strokes. It feels like Bangladesh know the power play is there best chance of victory – Kayes bottom edges one for a boundary through mid-wicket.
Keilan Webster 7th October 20162:07 pm

    5th OVER – 19-0

    Woakes tidies up again. Maiden.
Keilan Webster 7th October 20162:05 pm

    4TH OVER – 19-0

Dan’s not best pleased re middlenamegate, I’m sure revenge is in the air. Meanwhile rejoice as Sam Billing’s is on the field as 12th man!! He plays for Kent and that
Keilan Webster 7th October 20162:03 pm

    4th OVER – 19-0

Tamin clips off his toes to land four through fine leg. Solid start from Bangladesh.
Keilan Webster 7th October 20162:00 pm

    OVER 3 – 13-0

Eleven off the first Woakes over. Just one off the second – England’s most improved man opening up
Keilan Webster 7th October 20161:57 pm

Anyway we’re in the third over and the hosts are 12-0 chasing 309 to win

Keilan Webster 7th October 20161:57 pm

Dan’s middle name is Leonard by the way. Seriously, it is.

Keilan Webster 7th October 20161:56 pm

Thanks to D.Surey for the first stint, he’s off galivanting and has thrown me at the helm of Bangladesh’s reply

Keilan Webster 7th October 20161:56 pm

Yo yo yo second innings crew

Dan Surey 7th October 20161:12 pm

    BANGLADESH NEED 310 TO WIN

Woakes is run out with the last ball of the innings. England end on a very competitive score of 309.
Dan Surey 7th October 20161:11 pm

    50th over

Typical. Buttler dumps one into the hands of mid-off. 63 off 38 for him. 308-7.
Dan Surey 7th October 20161:09 pm

    WICKET! Jos Buttler

Dan Surey 7th October 20161:09 pm

    49th over

If anyone wants a demonstration in how not to field, watch the final four overs of this England innings. The Bangladeshi heads have gone. Amidst the diabolical fielding, Buttler’s just smashed another six. 308-7.
Dan Surey 7th October 20161:07 pm

    49th over

Woakes has pulled it high, high, high into the sky and two Bangladesh fielders get under it but they both leave it and land right in the middle of them. Catastrophic fielding from the home side there!
Dan Surey 7th October 20161:03 pm

    49th over

300 up for England with another crunching boundary from Buttler. 305-6.
Dan Surey 7th October 20161:01 pm

    48th over

Buttler’s causing utter chaos here. He’s just smashed 30 from the last seven balls and the Bangladesh players don’t know where to look. He moves to 55. Woakes is getting in on the act too as he smacks a four to the boundary. 292-6.
Dan Surey 7th October 201612:54 pm

    47th over

Bangladesh have done well to end the onslaught from England in the middle of the innings. Buttler’s moved onto 31 as he clears the boundary with a shot that looked like it was going nowhere near the ropes! And he does it again! Back-to-back Buttler sixes sees the tourists move to 273-6.
Dan Surey 7th October 201612:50 pm

    46th over

Woakes creams one over the top of extra cover for four. He moves onto 8. Buttler has been uncharacteristically reserved so far as England edge towards a good total. 4 overs remain. 257-6.
Dan Surey 7th October 201612:47 pm

    45th over

Four off the over, England are 249-6.
Dan Surey 7th October 201612:44 pm

    44rd over

Moeen pulls one to fine leg and he’s gone for 6 off the bowling of Mortaza. Woakes comes to the crease now.
Dan Surey 7th October 201612:43 pm

    WICKET! Moeen Ali

Dan Surey 7th October 201612:35 pm
