Former Kent Cricket coach Jimmy Adams has left a legacy of youth

Jimmy Adams left his role as Kent County Cricket head coach after five seasons this week.

His legacy at the club has been the development of young players.

He helped bring through England internationals Joe Denly and Sam Billings, while Daniel Bell-Drummond has also been in contention.

Adams had a vision of youth from his first day, and Kent were in somewhat of a mess when his predecessor Paul Farbrace left the club.

They were relegated in 2010 and finished second-bottom of Division Two in 2011.

As well as helping bring through youth on the pitch, he brought in coaches Matt Walker, Minal Patel and Mark Ealham to assist them off it.

I spoke to Kent Cricket Communications Manager Thomas Brown about what Adams brought to Kent.
