Indonesia Castration law ‘will wipe out paedophilia’

New chemical castration laws were passed by Indonesian president Joko Widodo earlier this month. He recently spoke to the BBC about why he thinks this is an effective measure to wipe out paedophilia.

Chemical castration is done by using drugs to reduce sex drive without sterilisation or removing organs.

The Indonesian Doctors Association have protested, and said its members should not be involved as the procedure violates medical ethics.
