The stages of writing a dissertation
1. When you start planning to write it and think you’ve got so much time
2. Start to do some research, then stop because it’s way more than you can handle
3. Try to do some research, but give up quite quickly
4. Do some “research” to make yourself feel better
5. When someone asks you to do something that means you ‘won’t have time’ for your dissertation that day. Or week.
6. When you actually start, and it turns out you’re killing it
7. Realising that you’re not actually killing it after all
8. Wishing you were smarter, more dedicated and actually cared about this thing
9. When people tell you how far they’ve come
10. Dedicating your life to finishing it
11. When you finally finish it, as the total boss that you are.
