Conspiracy theorist joins armed protest in Arizona

Alex Jones, the man behind such theories as “chemicals in the water are turning the frogs gay” and “the government have weather weapons”, has been seen speaking to Republican supporters in Arizona.

Mr Jones developed his right-wing following with theories of nefarious ‘globalists’.

With chants of “count the votes”, the armed protest outside Maricopa County in Arizona gathered to prevent Biden from supposedly “stealing” the election from incumbent President Donald Trump.

Jones announced to the masses with his megaphone: “We don’t know how this is gonna end, but if they want a fight, they’ve got one.”

Jones developed a cult following through his InfoWars podcast, spreading conspiracy theories about “big tech” and the secret lizard overlords controlling the United States.

The conspiracy theorist has since been banned from many social media sites, including YouTube, as his misinformation spreading and baseless accusations have violated multiple community guidelines.

Republican supporters in Arizona were outraged when Fox News and other media outlets called Arizona to be in Biden’s favour, and their chant of “count the votes” stand in direct contrast to Republican chants in other states to “stop counting”, inspired by President Trump’s twitter post.
