The hashtag matches the name of the competition – #thegreatuntold – and the prize for the lucky winner is the fantastic opportunity to produce a short film in collaboration with the companies.

In an Adobe blog that launched the competition it said the aim of it is to give creators creative support, mentorship and a greater platform to bring their stories to life.

The creativity seen already from smaller creators shows the reams of talent beyond the inner circle.

Three creators will be chosen as winners and each will be awarded a $10,000 grant to help turn their submissions into a short film. They will also be given access to Adobe experts and Adobe tools and be paired with a mentor to guide and inspire them through the creative process.

The mentors are accomplished and star-studded. They include playwright, filmmaker and author David Talbert — producer, author and costume designer, Lyn Talbert, who co-produced Netflix’s first live-action musical, Jingle Jangle: A Christmas Journey — and Ryan O’Connell, lead actor in the Netflix series, Special.

The partnership between Netflix and Adobe is an “important milestone” for Adobe, according to the blog. “It is a part of our ongoing commitment to enabling creativity for all.”

The deadline for entries is June 13 2021.
