Baby dog death ‘was accidental’
The death of a four-month-old boy, after he was mauled by a Staffordshire bull terrier, has been called “accidental” by a coroner.
Archie Darby was killed on 13 October after being ripped from his mother’s hands at a house in Colchester, Essex.
The dog, which was owned by Clare Ferdinand, the boy’s aunt and a serving Essex police officer, was put down.
Archie’s brother, 22-month-old Daniel-Jay suffered life-changing injuries during the fatal attack.
